The first day is Engili pula Bathukamma, which is followed by Atkula Bathukamma, Muddapappu Bathukamma, Nanabiyyam Bathukamma, Atla Bathukamma, Aligina Bathukamma, Vepakayala Bathukamma, Vennamuddala Bathukamma and the final day, Saddula Bathukamma.

Bathukamma Puja Rituals

Bathukamma Significance
Bathukamma is a beautiful flower stack arranged with different unique seasonal flowers in seven concentric layers in the shape of temple gopuram. It is usually brothers who bring flowers to their mother and sisters to arrange bathukamma.
Bathukamma is celebrated for nine days and corresponds to the festivals of Sarada Navratri and Durga Puja. Bathukamma is followed by Boddemma, which is a 7-day festival. The Boddemma festival marks the ending of Varsha Ruthu, whereas Bathukamma marks the beginning of Sarad or Sharath Ruthu.
