The first week of February witnesses a lot of love, romance and passion all around the world. Well, of course, because people are filled with great enthusiasm and fervour to celebrate the day of love, Valentine’s Day on February 14, with their beloved partner, friends or family. Prior to the D-Day, an entire week is dedicated for people in love. Starting from Rose Day on February 7, Chocolate Day, Teddy Day, Propose Day, Hug Day and Kiss Day are the following days prior to Valentine’s Day. While some enjoy the attention from their loved ones, there are others who find the entire process to be inefficacious. Not because they do not believe in the idea of love or romance, but they despise the over-commercialised gloating of love they are exposed to. For them, there is Anti-Valentine’s Day.
If there can be a week dedicated for the people who want to celebrate being in love, it is only fair to devote a week for the philophobics. These are the people who have lost faith in love. People around the world experience heartbreaks, the idea of Valentine’s Day is unimportant to them. Hence, there is an entire week for Anti-Valentine’s Day.
Here is the list of days in Anti-Valentine’s Week 2018:
February 15, 2018 – Happy Slap Day 2018
February 16, 2018 – Happy Kick Day 2018
February 17, 2018 – Happy Perfume Day 2018
February 18, 2018 – Happy Flirting Day 2018
February 19, 2018 – Happy Confession Day 2018
February 20, 2018 – Happy Missing Day 2018
February 21, 2018 – Happy Breakup Day 2018
Do not let the term ‘Anti’ turn you into a pessimist. Whether you are single or are a couple who hate celebrating Valentine’s Day, Anti-Valentine’s Day is perfect for you. For example, on Flirting Day, long-time couples can try out new ideas to flirt with each other. On Confess Day, singles can confess their love to their crush without any expectations. On Missing Day, let your long-distance friend or partner know how much you miss them. On Breakup Day, help your friend get over the emotional turmoil that they are going through post their breakup. These days are for people who do not advocate to PDA or celebrating love extravagantly. To all the people who are in love, look around, and you will see people celebrating Anti-Valentine’s Day.
