When You Combine Two Alia Bhatt Outfits, the Result Is Shraddha Kapoor’s Recent Ensemble
Sometimes I believe I have brilliant observation skills!
Instead of the usual beginnings, let me start my article with a disclaimer instead. The words that you will read next are meant to be taken with a pinch of salt and readers are advised to join in the humour. It was just a mere observation from a viewer's point of view and we mean no disrespect to anyone. Now that the disclaimer is over, let me 'think loudly' as they say. When Shraddha decided to step out in a red off-shoulder Reem Acra creation last night, I must say she looked drop dead gorgeous. No doubts in that. But hey, that attire gave me a certain deja vu feeling that was hard to ignore! Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor or Malaika Arora – Who Wore This Zimmermann Outfit Better?
I knew I had seen a similar attire on Alia Bhatt before. But little did I know that it wasn't attire but attires instead. Yea, plural with an s! Ms Kapoor's red-hot dress from Stree's success bash last night took us back in time when Alia sizzled on the red carpet at the HT Most Stylish Awards in 2017. No wonder Alia's silver one-off shoulder dress for the awards night was designed by the same designer and hence the similarities! The dramatic side bow in both the attires is a signature Reem Acra design and the ones who follow fashion closely would join the connection instantly.
However, Alia's second blood red outfit was designed by Gauri & Nainika. The Raazi star stepped out to attend the Kids Choice Awards in 2017 wearing a red off-shoulder chic dress and that resembled Shraddha's attire from last night. So basically it's combining two Alia Bhatt outfits to get one of Shraddha's! Please don't tag this as irrelevant or illogical because it does make sense. Now when I say the attire was a combination of two of Alia's previous outings, I mean it in a good way. I am not bashing Shraddha, nor am I against her stylist Tanya Ghavri for selecting her #OOTN. However, I am impressed with the way these designers design so many different attires from a single design itself. It even makes sense. Instead of brainstorming on different concepts, you can always innovate the one that's already there. This is what they call a 'smart thinking.'
