Panipat narrates the Third Battle of Panipat fought in 1761 between the Maratha Empire and the Afghan and Baloch invaders. The Maratha Empire was led by Sadashivrao Bhau Peshwa, essayed by Arjun Kapoor and the Afghans were led by Ahmadshah Abdali essayed by Sanjay Dutt. The film is scheduled for a release on 6th December 2019.
