Style Diaries of This Week: Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kajol Best-Dressed and Aditi Rao Hydari Worst-Dressed

This week was quite sad if you see from a fashion admirer's point of view. With no great occasions but Elle Beauty Awards and fewer movie promotions, there was very little scope for our divas to step out in their fashion best. Yet the ones who did were able to make our hearts flutter with joy. Well, at least some of them. Kajol made some ravishing appearances throughout the promotions of Helicopter Eela and this particular one was our favourite. For every best-dressed list, you have a worst-dressed one, that's hard to ignore. Either the silhouette is quite weird or the entire look has gone for a toss as in Aditi's case. The Padmaavat actress stepped for Elle Beauty Awards in what we would tag as a fashion blunder. Aditi's red ruffled skirt with a tie-up crop top of some sorts paired with those old-fashioned hoops and purple eye-shadow was too harsh on our eyes. This talented Southern beauty has an impeccable taste when it comes to fashion and she never hesitates to woo us with her numerous outings. Kajol

You can never go wrong with monochromes and Kajol is here to show you how. Picking a soft white shirt from Zara and pairing it with a black tie-up skirt by Shweta Kapur, Kajol showed you how to nail this basic combination. Those pink lips further added some glam factor in her otherwise subtle look of the day.

Priyanka Chopra

What was Aditi Rao Hydari thinking when she gave her nod to something as horrendous as this? The red skirt and white top are still fine, but what's with those hoop earrings that take you back in the 80s or 90s. And to make it worse, she chose a purple lipstick with matching eye makeup. Guess, the night just didn't belong to her.

Malaika Arora

You don't expect a diva like Malaika to commit blunders. But then, not every day is lucky, right? The sheer white polka dots mini dress by Kalmanovich' is rarely flattering her hot bod. We have seen her ace some of the boldest outfits in the past and it's time she brings her past to the present.

Parineeti Chopra

Parineeti Chopra's style file for Namastey England promotions is neither good nor bad. It's utterly basic we must say. Yet there are appearances that ruled our hearts and then there are some that disappointed us further. Like the one by Ridhima Mehra. The grey coati with a plain white skirt is a strict no-no. The colour combination is the real hurdle in this case. Perhaps a better choice of colours would have done the right trick.
