The diva has been strutting the streets of New York City in the most gorgeous looks we can imagine. And she is doing it so well.

However, for those who believe that the actress might have ditched her Desi roots, here's a surprising revelation for you. On the cover of InStyle magazine and the photoshoot following the same, PeeCee has embraced her traditional roots and done justice to ethnic wear! Not just the cover but even in the inside pictures of the shoot, PeeCee's astoundingly beautiful ensembles have left us tongue-tied. How can someone be so alluring?!

In a basic but intriguing Sabyasachi saree and a bikini blouse with a leafy background, Priyanka Chopra looks like a goddess. Turns out her inspiration to embrace and love sarees come from her mother, Madhu Chopra. In her interview with the magazine, Chopra quoted, “My problem is when it comes to Indian fashion, there are always these shiny, sequined, over-the-top Christmas-tree outfits. Those are not the saris I wear,” and added, “I grew up with my mother wearing saris to the hospital, as a doctor. She’d wear these beautiful ones made of French chiffon. And the nape of her neck would smell like Dior’s Poison. That, to me, was a modern woman. And that’s what I want to show the world. Indian designers make such incredible clothes that are inspired from beautiful embroidery and patterns.”
