It was Princess Diana’s go-to workout wear that she would wear in almost every session. The Virgin Atlantic Sweatshirt, which the late British royal had given to her personal trainer, Jenni Rivett, was bought by an anonymous bidder from California. The gym wear was sold at a whopping USD 53,500K (more than Rs 3.5 million) at RR Auction, headquartered at Boston. The workout wear, was a gift to Princess Diana from business tycoon and Virgin Atlantic’s founder, Richard Branson. In an earlier interview, Rivett has revealed the royal’s decision to wear the same outfit every day. She told The Royal Box, “Every single session all the media were outside camped with their stepladders, and cameras and lenses and everything. For her she just found it so incredible, ‘why are they so interested in me when there are more important things to worry about in the world.’ It wasn’t her that asked for all this. I remember one of her strategies was that she was going to wear the same Virgin Active sweatshirt every single session.” Portrait of Princess Diana Created by HIV Positive Blood!
