This year at the Oscars red carpet, there were surprisingly few errs. You'd usually expect celebrities to go a little overboard and try on some clothes that don't fit their body, personality and even the awards function. However, this year has been surprisingly different. Celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Emma Stone, Amy Adams, Chadwick Boseman, Jason Momoa, Glenn Close, Brie Larson, tried something new and different. A range of looks was presented by them as JLo and Larson opted for metallic ensembles while Lady Gaga and Regina King chose plain but sublime gowns. Boseman's eccentric ensemble and Billy Porter's tuxedo gown also left a lasting impression!

Jennifer Lopez
Looking like a legit disco ball, Lopez walked the ramp in a mirror mosaic embroidered Tom Ford gown. The long sleeves and covered neck was matched with a metallic clutch and jewellery too.
Lady Gaga
Keeping it simple, Gaga donned a sublime black strapless Alexander McQueen ball gown with black elbow length gloves. She completed the look with a $30 million yellow diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co.
Brie Larson
Matching Lopez's metallic shine, the Captain Marvel actress also opted for a shimmery silver ensemble. The high-shine metallic gown with a gorgeous thigh-high slit was completed with a pair of Jimmy Choo sandals.
Amy Adams
The Vice actress looked drop-dead gorgeous in a strapless white column gown that had interesting zigzag patterns and a mermaid cut.
Irina Shayk
Keeping it sexy, Irina donned a high-neck-full-sleeve gown with a gold fringe around the waist and an extremely open, low back.
Glenn Close
Walking the red carpet like an Oscar statue, Glenn Close looked pretty in a custom hand-embroidered Carolina Herrera number. The shimmery gold gown along with its cape was unmissable!
Allison Janney
Academy Award-winning actress Allison Janey definitely knew how to make a red carpet impression that would last for years to come. She chose a black velveteen gown with long sleeves, a sash at the waist and a plunging neckline to tease.
Helen Mirren
The veteran actress looked lovely in a pink tulle gown. Her look was completed by a matching pink clutch and a wreath-like necklace.
Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet
Matching their tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld, the couple kept it pink and pretty awesome. Momoa wore a custom-made blush and grey suit designed by Lagerfeld while Lisa wore a Fendi dress.
Emma Stone
The bold and edgy shoulders of Stone's amber-hued custom Louis Vuitton gown was heavily embellished and required bare minimum accessories which were also provided by the Louis Vuitton High Jewellery Collection.
Regina King
The actress, who also won her first Oscar tonight, opted for a plain Oscar de la Renta ivory gown with a sultry thigh-high slit and white Christian Louboutin pumps.
Chadwick Boseman
Boseman has consistently proven that he likes to keep things edgy and stands out doing the same! He donned an extravagant glittery tuxedo jacket with a black shirt, an oversized tie, black trousers and pointed leather boots.
Billy Porter
The Pose actor with his eccentric velveteen tuxedo gown by Christian Siriano was a winner at the Oscars 2019 red carpet. Not to mention the gorgeous 21-karat ring on his finger.
