While still finding her feet in show business, Malavika Mohanan came across the opportunity of a lifetime – the chance to star in acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s first Indian production Beyond the Clouds. She is being paired alongside established actor Shahid Kapoor’s brother, Ishaan Khatter. Malavika has managed to receive a lot of praises and accolades for her rugged looks in the films.

To get into the skin of her character, the Malayalam actress has reportedly pushed her boundaries to stay true to the Iranina filmmaker’s vision. While her character demands her look to be brawny and simple, Malavika shines bright during the promotions of her film.

Malavika suited up in white suit in Sakshi K Relan for the latest round of movie promotions. She styled her hair into a slick ponytail and rounded out the look with pink lip colour and pair of neutral sandals.

Malavika made her debut alongside Dulquer Salmaan in the Malayalam movie Pattam Pole (2014). In Beyond the Clouds, Malavika portrays the role of a young woman from the slums of Mumbai whose world comes crashing down when she is accused of attempted murder. The film’s emotional core is the bond between her and her brother played by Ishaan Khatter. The film is set to release on April 20.
