Mahira Khan Debuts at Cannes Film Festival 2018: Pakistani Actress Keeps it Simple & Elegant Ahead of Her Red-Carpet Appearance
Mahira said, “I am excited but also very nervous. I feel like I am a player for a Pakistani team, but I am playing alone."
After garnering appreciation for her debut performance in Bollywood, opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Raees, the Pakistani actress is all set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2018. Mahira will be representing L’Oreal hair care as their official spokesperson and will walk the red-carpet on May 14 and May 15. Mahira was seen sporting different outfits on the first two days ahead of her red-carpet appearance during media interactions. The actress kept it casual yet chic in her sartorial outfits.
Mahira in a Floral Jumpsuit
Posing alongside the French Riviera, Mahira was dressed in a belted, floral kimono jumpsuit. She went au naturel with her ‘no makeup, makeup look’ and let her tresses loose and flowy with soft curls at the end.
Mahira in White Separates
Mahira opted for an off-white crop top with matching flared, pleated parallels of the same colour from Pakistani label Elan. She rounded off her look with a vibrantly-printed floral kaftan, drop earrings and a neat bun. Yet again, she was seen wearing minimal makeup and Mahira is brilliant when it comes to keeping it stylish with simplicity.
Mahira Rocks the Contrast
Next, Mahira wore an off-shoulder bright yellow flowy top that boasted an exaggerated sleeve and a long trail of fabric. She teamed it with high-waist navy pants, both from Solace. To accentuate her slender figure, the actress accessorised an over-sized white belt.
Mahira in Printed Pyjama Suit
Yet another comfort-dressing outfit, Mahira wore a psychedelic-print Leonard Paris pant-suit. She styled her hair in a sleek, middle-parted fashion and worked her magic again with the nude makeup. This look was different but in a nice way.
During a press conference regarding her Cannes debut, Mahira had said, “I am excited but also very nervous. I feel like I am a player for a Pakistani team, but I am playing alone. I am grateful to be associated with this brand. There are so many international stars that have been representing L’Oreal at Cannes and I am on my nerves to stand beside them.” She’d also added that she hopes that she does not trip and fall on the red carpet.
The debutants seem to be killing it this year at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. After Huma Qureshi and Kangana Ranaut’s smashing debut at Cannes, we are sure that Mahira is going to have a lot of heads turning when she walks today and tomorrow. Mahira will be walking the red carpet alongside newlywed Sonam Kapoor. The Pakistani actress was also making headlines recently for reportedly dating Bollywood heart-throb Ranbir Kapoor.
