The five-day fashion extravaganza that started on January 30 came to end with Kareena Kapoor Khan pulling down the curtains on February 3. The diva set the ramp on fire as she walked for Shantanu & Nikhil's finale collection for Spring/Resort 2019. This year we saw a host of celebrities from Malaika Arora to Arjun Kapoor to Kangana Ranaut and Bhumi Pednekar sashaying on the ramp, justifying the different artworks of various designers. While some collections were definitely noteworthy, others were simply what they call, a usual affair. Now, of course, this is from a layman's point of view and we haven't really invested our time in studying the detailing. Ladies V/S Gully Boy! The choices below are strictly from a common man's idea of what fashion means to them. It's based on collections that are wearable against the one that look fine on the ramp but not otherwise. Tomorrow if a commoner wants to invest in a designer's collection, they would look for an opportunity to flaunt their designs rather than pick an attire like Vaani Kapoor to sizzle for a cocktail party. So going ahead with our logic, we pick the most flattering collections of this year that instantly struck a chord with fashion lover in us. Go ahead and tell us if we went wrong anywhere. Lakme Fashion Week 2019: Kareena Kapoor Khan Looks Like a Fashion Goddess As She Walks the Ramp for Shantanu and Nikhil (Watch Video).

Kareena Kapoor Khan for Shantanu & Nikhil

Lisa Haydon for Shriya Som

Diana Penty for Mishru

Kangana Ranaut for Anushree Reddy

Karisma Kapoor for Punit Balana

Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur for Kunal Rawal

A special mention for Rohit Bal's collection inspired by the beauty of Kashmir

We would also like to raise a toast to Gaurav Gupta who inaugurated the show with Tabu and Karan Johar this year. They dazzled in his designs inspired by fairytales. We were glad to not witness the ordinary names in the fashion world and get a chance to go beyond them. It was exciting to see Gauri & Nainika return to the ramp after a brief gap and let Shantanu & Nikhil design the finale collection. To sum it up, this year gets a big thumbs up and a loud cheer from all of us.
