Fashion is a tricky place to survive and innovation seems to be the only key. While designers strive hard to innovate different concepts and silhouettes, it's still a task to win this fashion race every time. While plagiarism was quite common in this field and no one really took any offence earlier, things are changing for good. With Instagram pages like Diet Sabya on a roll, fashion designers and their designs are literally scrutinised every day and no one should dare to hide from these virtual fashion police. Yet there are times when new designs bear resemblance to older creations and we can't help but wonder about their similarities. Monisha Jaisingh's love for pleats was very similar to the Elie Saab creation that Kareena wore in of her photoshoots for Vogue India. Though the silhouette is slightly different and so is the colour palette but the similarity in its pleating technique is quite evident. Of course, this is not a blatant copy of the original creation but Bebo's showstopper outfit instantly reminded us of her picture from the previous photoshoot. To make the situation a bit more awkward, the Veere Di Wedding actress even decided to pose similarly for two different pictures; only to give us those 'similar' vibes. Nonetheless, we don't blame Jaisingh for the attire was completely different and we loved the way she went for off-shoulder instead of a one-off one like in the original. Fashion pundits can willingly ignore the pleating technique if rest everything is pure original.
