Accompanying their father Boney Kapoor, late Sridevi’s daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor arrived today at the 65th National Film Awards ceremony in Vigyan Bhavan in the capital city. Sridevi was honoured with the National Award for best actress for her performance in her last movie, Mom. Donning in a stunning saree, Janhvi looked like her mother’s replica and chose a saree from Sridevi’s collection.
Janhvi sported a pink and white Kanjivaram silk saree. It was accentuated with pastel pink-hued borders. She rounded off her look with minimal make-up and jewellery and side-swept tresses that cascaded effortlessly down her shoulder. Manish Malhotra, fashion designer and Sridevi’s close friend posted Janhvi’s picture along with a heartfelt emotional caption.

On the other hand, Khushi Kapoor opted for darker hues. Khushi chose to wear a half-saree, also called pattu pavadai. She sported a multi-coloured earthy-toned boat-neck blouse. She kept the jewellery to a minimum and her middle-parted hairstyle gelled well with the attire.

Both the sisters looked elegant and poised. Speaking to a news channel, Boney Kapoor said, “Sridevi would have been very happy today. We miss her, it is a very proud moment at the same time. She would have been happy, very happy being here. We feel elated, proud that she’s been recognised for the hard work she’s put in this film.”
In her last movie Mom, Sridevi played a character of a mother who seeks out help from a private detective after her stepdaughter Arya was gang-raped and the rapists are acquitted by the court and vows to take revenge from the culprits. Janhvi will make her Bollywood debut later this year in Dhadak, opposite Ishaan Khatter.
