The icon graced the December 2018 cover for Elle India’s 22^nd anniversary issue. And Oprah was styled in sartorial outfit designed by none other than prestigious Indian designer Sabyasachi. Oprah is wearing a black silk top and a stole with silver border designed by Sabyasachi. She accessorised her look with Zambian emerald and diamond earrings by Sabyasachi jewellery. Her hair and makeup exuded poise and elegance. Elle India mentioned Oprah’s quote on the cover which read: “The new generation of boys should be raised to believe that girls are their equals and sometimes their superiors.”

On her trip to India, Oprah attended a dinner hosted by the royal family in Jaipur to which she wore a Sabyasachi saree. Sharing the image on his Instagram account, Sabyasachi revealed how he was surprised when Oprah entered his new store in Kala Ghoda. Sabyasachi writes: “Oprah isn’t just one of the world’s most influential personalities. She’s larger than life, but also as real as it gets!” What a memorable moment for both Elle India magazine and Sabyasachi to have an icon like Oprah on the cover.
