Fishtail Braid

Looks complicated but it’s the simplest thing once you get the technique. A fishtail braid is a fancier cousin of regular braids. It’s also a Rubik's cube to some people, but once you crack it, you’ll be able to do it in under five minutes!

Fishtail Braid

Start by brushing out your hair. You need tangle-free hair for this. One knot and it gets complicated — part your hair in two sections. For better understanding, we’ll name it A and B. Pick a thin piece from A section and push it to the B side. Now pick a strand from B and blend it with A. repeat this till the end and secure. And voila! Pull out some strands in the front and make it look a little more casual.

Knotty Bun

Buns might seem like an ancient and boring hairstyle we often saw our grandmothers sport. But buns come in a variety and work for every occasion. Here’s how to make a knot-filled bun that’s comfortable and will let your scalp breathe.

Knotty Bun

This one might win the award for the easiest hairstyle (if something like that exists). Brush your hair and get rid of all the tangles. Section your hair in two equal parts at your nape. Now hold it in two crisp parts and tie a knot among the two. Make it as tight as you like. Tie another knot. Repeat till you have about two inches of hair left hanging. Once you’re done, tuck it inside from the top and secure with bobby pins. Bobby pins are optional as this might stand on its own. If you have bangs or shorted section in the front, secure with pins.

Inverted French Braid

As the name suggests, it’s an inverted french braid. Instead of adding strands to the braid from the top, you add it from under to the braid.

Inverted French Braid

Start by raiding your hair as you would for a french braid but add pieces by tucking it from under, in the braid. This will create texture and make your braid pop.

You might be tempted to curl or straighten your hair and keep it open, but, tied hair will keep you comfortable all night.
