September 13 marked the beginning of the festival of Lord Ganesha and the city was immersed in the celebrations. Devotees welcomed Ganpati Bappa with great enthusiasm and the festivities kick-started. When it comes to festivals, Bollywood celebrities mark the celebrations with full swing. And Ganpati festival is the one where celebrities also come together and experience the joy. This year, Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations kickstarted at the Ambani residence, Antillia, where the who’s who of the Bollywood turned up. From Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rekha to Kapoor sisters Kareena and Karishma Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, celebrities were decked in their best traditional outfits. Indian festivals are incomplete without dressing up and stepping out in traditional outfits. Ganeshotsav is celebrated on a grand scale within and outside industry by everyone. While many celebrities bring in the idol every year during the festival of Ganpati like Salman Khan, yesterday the Ambani’s hosted a bash and outside the residence was a legit red-carpet appearance made by Bollywood biggies. Best Dressed Celebs at Ambani Residence for Ganesh Chaturthi 2018 Celebrations
1. Shah Rukh & Gauri Khan
As usual the B-town couple looked gorgeous. While Shah Rukh looked ever so handsome in a white Pathani kurta-pyajama set, Gauri Khan wore a Manish Malhotra nude anarkali with white chikankari. Ms Khan’s makeup complimented her look as she sported muted lips.
2. Kareena & Karisma Kapoor
The stylish Kapoor sisters were seen twinning in yellow for the event. Karisma looked bright and beautiful in a yellow kurti with white thread work which she paired it with yellow straight pants. On the other hand, Kareena wore a yellow knee-length kurti with a matching sharara and broke the monotony by pairing her outfit with a pink satin silk dupatta. She accessorised the look with gold dangling earrings and a potli. Stunning much?
3. Rekha
The legendary and veteran actress Rekha opted for her evergreen (literally) trademark Kanjivarm saree. No doubt she looked breath-taking as ever in a green Kanjivarm silk saree and rocked the red bold lips. But we wish, the actress takes a break from her style and experiments more often.
4. Katrina Kaif
The one who always keeps it simple, Katrina looked good in a red traditional outfit by Tarun Tahiliani. She left her tresses loose with soft curls at the bottom and rounded off her look with a bindi. As always keeping it classy and chic, Katrina painted a pretty picture in red.
5. Salman Khan
Last but never the least, the Dabangg actor Salman Khan made a stylish entry in all-black outfit. Wearing a black kurta, black salwar and black sandals Salman looked drool-worthy. His stubble rounded off his over-all edgy look.
The event was also attended by Madhuri Dixit who was accompanied by her husband, Suneil Shetty and his family, Jackie Shroff and many more celebrities. It was a grand affair. Ganeshotsav celebrations at the Ambani residence brought everyone together. On the other hand, Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan and her husband Ayush Sharma, also celebrated the festival at their residence which also saw a host of celebrities.
