The month has begun, and magazines are busy unleashing their cover girls and boys. One such personality gracing the July edition of FitLook Magazine is television actress Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya. It is not an everyday thing for telly stars to feature on mags, because the Bollywood celebs entirely dominate this domain. But Divyanka Tripathi got the opportunity, and the gorgeous woman completely squandered it. If not the Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress, her team of stylists has not done justice with her beauty and personal style. A look at Divyanka as the cover girl of FitLook Magazine and you would know our criticism is not an exaggeration. From the gaudy embroidered outfit to hideous contouring and that nose ring, everything does not work for the lovely actress.

Divyanka shared a picture of FitLook Magazine cover on her Instagram handle writing, “#StayStrongInsideOut. Meet the new Cover Girl for @FitlookMagazine.” Clearly, the 33-year-old is very proud of her latest achievement and so are we barring the fact that the photo shoot has not come out the way Divyanka’s fans would have liked. She is seen wearing a flamingo pink satin gown full of embroidery, and it is boring AF. We have seen Divyanka wear such customised desi gowns on so many occasions in the past and it looks like her stylists took no effort or interest in the outfits department.

Moving on from her done and dusted outfit choice to makeup, which is the major problematic area for Divyanka. It is a bronze neutral makeup with stark contouring, smoky eyes and shiny brown lips – in short, it’s too much of contouring. Making matters worse for the actress is the choice to put on the blingy nose ring. The low hair bun with flattened ironed streaks on the front is another poor choice by the Divyanka’s team. We love how the actress is giving a fierce gaze to the camera, but in the end, it is too little to save the overall fiasco.

On the work front, Divyanka continues to be the face of Star Plus’ hit daily soap Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. The telly star on being asked about having any fear of being a typecast, after all, she has been living and breathing the role of Dr Ishita Raman Bhalla for five years, she said, "I don't fear being typecast. I don't think there is any fear, rather I see it as a challenge. And what fun is work without challenges? I've played several different characters in my career." Much wow.
