BAFTA 2018 Red Carpet: Worst Dressed Celebs Who Clearly Missed the Mark at the TV Award Show
While some celebs looked glamorous, others managed to turn heads for all the wrong reasons. Famous personalities were seen wearing garish outfits.
The best of British television was celebrated at the British Academy Television Awards on Sunday night. The star-studded night took place at the Royal Festival Hall on London’s Southbank. The ceremony was hosted by Sue Perkins who delivered an opening monologue that put a focus on politics, gender equality and revelations about sexual harassment and abuse in the entertainment industry. While some celebs looked glamorous, others managed to turn heads for all the wrong reasons. Famous personalities were seen wearing garish outfits.
Worst Dressed Celebs at BAFTA 2018 Red Carpet
1 Daisy May Cooper
Daisy May Cooper, 32, dared to be different by standing out from the crowd by wearing a Swindon football top as a dress. She paired the bizarre sporty dress with red toe-less ankle boots.
2 Scarlett Moffatt
Scarlett failed to impress in a loose-fitting shapeless mini dress that had a zip up the front and a dipped hem. The zip looked a little tacky. She paired her laid-back look with a red clutch and glittery heels.
3 Ashley Roberts
Former Pussycat Doll and TV presenter Ashley Roberts, 36, missed the mark who wore a layered red mesh number. She paired it with shoes that appeared to be too big for her. The outfit had a slip underneath and the design was a little scruffy.
4 Clara Amfo
Radio 1 presenter Clara Amfo, 33, opted for a floral-print oriental-inspired dress with daring cut-outs across the stomach and a thigh-high split. The dress was ill-fitted and did not make the pretty radio host look her best.
5 Louise Redknapp
Black was not a popular choice on the red carpet and Louise Redknapp, 43, showed us why with her poor choice of outfit. The black silk top she wore did not sit properly on her bust and hung loosely on her waist. The printed ruffled skirt made her appear much larger than she is.
The show, officially known as the Virgin TV British Academy Television Awards was broadcasted on BBC One. Many of the guests wore badges on the red carpet in support of the Time’s Up movement. Not every celebrity got it wrong, with many of the attendees looking gorgeous.
