Excessive heat can actually become a struggle every day and if you don't have an AC at home, things can get worse. However, there are a few easy hacks that can help you cool down that are way cheaper than buying an AC. Check out:
Wear Cotton Clothes
Refrain from using clothes made out of silk, polyester sheets or satin. Opt for easy-breezy, light-coloured cotton clothes to cool down the heat. Not just clothes, choose bed sheets made out of cotton or linens. Cotton doesn't just absorb excessive sweat from the body but is also breathable and airy textile. Especially while sleeping you might want to opt for cotton clothes and betsheets.
The Dampen Sheet Trick
This is one of the easiest tricks that one can use to cool down instantly especially while you are trying to rest. All you have to do it dampen a cotton bedsheet or towel with cold water and wrap it around your body. Lying down with a wet towel or sheet under the fan is even more effective.
DIY AC
Do you remember when as kids we would play with the ice-cubes from refrigerators by placing it in front of a table-fan? Make yourself a DIY air cooler by simply keeping a bowl full of ice in front of a table fan for cooler air. As the ice melts the air blown by the table fan after coming in contact with the ice will provide you with AC style air.
