The millennials have change how avocados were seen until now. It is not just a tropical fruit enjoyed by people of the region where it grows, it has become a regular diet material. With pop culture showing its usage in dishes as a healthy food item, avocado's popularity has only been increasing. Today avocados are a normal food item in supermarkets, restaurant menus and are present in fast foods.
Avocado has found its way into pudding, facial skin therapy, and even hair mask. The latest to add to the list of avocado's uses is it being used in marriage proposals. And avocado proposals have already become a thing and the internet is collectively crushing over the idea.
Gone are the days when you hid the ring inside a cake, avocado is the newest trend today. Millenials are now using avocados as jewelry boxes to keep the rings during a proposal. On Instagram, #avocadoproposal has already become a trend with people popping the question with the fruit.
One among the earliest proposals on Instagram was posted by Photographer Kim Tyler where a man is holding a ring in his hand and a half of avocado in another while his partner holds the other half of the fruit. There are a few more pictures of avocado being used as a cover to keep rings. The hype around avocado proposal began after food stylist Colette Dike posted a picture a ring place inside the fruit.

As avocado proposals are gaining popularity, we take a look at some of the most popular proposals including food:
Pizza
If your partner is a lover of pizza, this will totally impress him/her. Buy a box of pizza and write, 'Will you marry me' on inside of the top cover such that when they open it read the proposal. You can also experiment by writing the same with ketchup or sauce on top of the pizza.
Freeze the ring
Take the ring and freeze it in an ice cube. Then the ice cube in your partners' glass of water and let it defreeze. The moment the person notices something in the water, you can pop the question.
Fortune cookies
Replace the note in a fortune cookie with the question and give it to your better half. Don't forget to go down on your knees when they have finished reading it.
The coffee mug trick
Writing the question on coffee is too common, instead, you can buy one of those mugs which have the question engraved on the inside at the bottom. So that as your partner finishes drinking, they will spot the question.
Jumbled cupcakes
Bake or buy a set of cupcakes with each of the alphabets in 'Will you marry me' written on each of it. Do not set them in order. Give it to your partner and say that it is a game of jumbled words and has to be solved. You know what the result would be!
