In the interview for the magazine, Angelina Jolie says, if she would have lived in earlier days, she would have been burnt for being herself. Jolie tells ELLE, “wicked women” are just women who are tired of injustice and abuse. Women who refuse to follow rules and codes they don’t believe are best for themselves or their families.” she adds, “If that is wickedness, then the world needs more wicked women.”

In her 20s, Angelina Jolie travelled the world and met refugees in Sierra Leone during the civil war. It was during that time understood the difference and disparities women face all over the world. Angelina Jolie tells ELLE, “I understood for the first time the level of violence that exists in the world, and the reality of life for the millions of people affected by conflict and displacement. And I discovered my life’s work and purpose.”. The actress encourages her daughters to have a mind of their own. A pretty dress can be worn at any time but it doesn’t matter what you wear on the outside if you don’t have a strong mind. The entire interview has been very well received by her fans.
