In another shocking incident which has surfaced from Madhya Pradesh, reportedly, more than 40 girls residing in one of the hostels of Dr Hari Singh Gour University in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar city on Sunday were allegedly, stripped and searched by a hostel warden after a used sanitary pad was found lying in the hostel premises. As per reports, students in their complaint have said that warden and her associate asked all the students to assemble at one place and were stripped one by one. They were also made to remove their undergarments.

According to an ANI report, the Vice Chancellor, RP Tiwari has apologised to the girl students. He said, "It's unfortunate and condemnable. I told students that they are all like my daughter and I apologise to them." He has further ordered a probe into the matter and assured them that an action will be taken in this regard.

The Vice Chancellor has further informed the students that if the warden is found guilty, an action will definitely be taken against her. Dr Hari Singh Gour University, also known as Sagar University is said to be the oldest university in MP. Menstruation is still considered a tabooed topic in India and majority of the women in our country still don't have access to proper women hygiene products as a result of which, many students decide to drop out of school midway. Starkling incidents, which rip off the modesty of women like these, is making the condition of young girls only worse.
