Kolkata, September 5: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s campaign to spread awareness in West Bengal schools and colleges has created massive controversy. According to a Times Now report, the VHP has published a list of 'dos and don'ts for girls and the communal brochure also warns Hindu girls against getting lured by Muslim boys. The group further announced that in order to spread the ills of love jihad, it will launch a campaign in several schools and colleges in the coming days. VHP, Bajrang Dal Named 'Militant Religious Organisations', RSS 'Nationalist Organisation' by CIA in The World Factbook.
The campaign is being organised by the VHP and its youth wing, the Bajrang Dal, along with women's wing, the Durga Vahini. Some of the methods used by Muslim boys to trap Hindu girls as mentioned in the pamphlet include- they catch Hindu girls at festivals by entering crowds, they gift expensive gifts to win the heart of the girl, they get physical by using photographs to blackmail the girl, if the girl doesn't agree, then they fake suicide.
In addition to these outrageous methods, VHP has even provided a solution to Hindu girls even if they have fallen a victim of love jihad. Girls have been advised to wear sindoor, mangalsutra and red and white bangles. Also creating a religious atmosphere at home and celebrating Hindu festivals and puja is necessary. Trinamool Congress has slammed the VHP for such communal divisive tactics, saying that it “will never allow the nefarious designs of the Sangh Parivar to succeed."
