Madhya Pradesh, July 31: CBI Court has given four years of imprisonment to the four accused in the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh. Earlier this month, a woman with 'Vyapam files' feared for her life, and therefore approached the whistle blowers for help. Surprisingly more than 40 witnesses, accused or whistle blowers linked to the Vyapam scam have died mysteriously, according to an old report.

The Vyapam scam was an entrance examination, admission, and recruitment scam that was exposed in 2013. According to reports, the scam involved politicians, senior and junior officials and businessmen systematically employing imposters to write papers, manipulating exam hall seating arrangements and supplying forged answer sheets by bribing officials.

These exams are held for recruitment in government jobs and admissions in educational institutes of the state. The scam involved undeserving candidates, bribing the politicians and MPPEB officials through middlemen, and getting getting high ranks in these entrance tests. Under the scam, were 13 different exams conducted by Vyapam, for the selection of medical students and state government employees (including food inspectors, transport constables, police personnel, school teachers, dairy supply officers and forest guards) where the final results were rigged.
