Vijay Mallya's 3rd Marriage on Cards as He Plans to Tie Knot With Pinky Lalwani
The Westminster Magistrates' Court in London, which has been hearing the extradition plea, has granted bail to Mallya till April 2.
New Delhi, Mar 28: The third marriage of former liquor baron Vijay Mallya is on cards as the 'King of Good Times' is reportedly planning to tie the knot with long-time girlfriend Pinky Lalwani.
Lalwani, who first came into interaction with Mallya after she was hired for the now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines, has remained a constant companion of the 62-year-old in his thick and thin times.
Both of them are currently based in London, where Mallya had escaped after Indian agencies began probing the Rs 9,000 crore scandal perpetrated by his companies.
A consortium of 17 banks had moved the court against Mallya in 2016, seeking his arrest in a bid to recover the losses incurred by the lenders.
Apart from summons issued against Mallya in the loan-fraud case, the court has also issued non-bailable warrants against him based upon the money laundering charges levelled by the Enforcement Directorate.
The Indian agencies have petitioned the United Kingdom seeking the extradition of Mallya.
The Westminster Magistrates' Court in London, which has been hearing the extradition plea, has granted bail to Mallya till April 2.
The Crown Prosecution Service, which is arguing on behalf of Indian agencies, is attempting to prove the prima-facie case against Mallya, which could compel the court to order his extradition.
