Dehradun, July 1: Prime Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the death of 47 passengers who have been killed after a bus fell into a gorge in Nainidanda area of Uttarakhand’s Pauri Garhwal district today in the morning. The incident occurred near the Guen Bridge on Pipli-Bhaun motorway in NainiDanda block when the driver of the bus lost control, and it fell into a gorge. The 28-seater bus was going to Rampur from Bhaun.
The Prime Minister in his tweet extended his condolences to the bereaved families. PM Modi also prayed for the recovery of the injured. The Prime Minister tweeted, “Extremely saddened by the bus accident in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I pray that those injured recover at the earliest. Rescue operations are underway and authorities are providing all possible assistance at the accident site.”
The police and the administrative authorities have rushed to the spot. Operations to rescue the survivors are underway. Inspector General of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Sanjay Gunjial has informed that a chopper has been rushed to airlift the remaining injured people.
