UP Police Files Case Against Sonakshi Sinha For Allegedly Cheating Organisers, Visit Dabangg Girl's Mumbai Residence For Inquiry
UP Police have registered a case against Bollywood actor for allegedly cheating organisers worth Rs 25 lakhs. Police went to her Mumbai residence on Thursday for inquiry, but the actor was not present at her home.
Uttar Pradesh, July 12: The Uttar Pradesh police has registered a case against Sonakshi Sinha at Katghar Police Station under sections 420 (cheating) & 406 of IPC, reported ANI. It has been alleged that in 2018, Sonakshi took Rs 24 lakh for a stage performance at an event in Delhi, but she never showed up. According to a Mumbai Mirror report, the Moradabad police asked help from Mumbai police in the matter. As she was not at her residence, the cops are likely to again pay a visit again today.

The actor's spokesperson as quoted in the report said, "Sonakshi is an honest worker and has never cheated anyone. The accusations against her are baseless. This is a way to malign her image and neither Sonakshi nor her team will yield to this. We have nothing to hide and we have been very cooperative with the authorities."
On the work front, Sonakshi Sinha is busy promoting her upcoming film, Khandaani Shafakhana. She is also starring in Mission Mangal and Dabangg 3.
