UP Minor Girl Returning From School on Gandhi Jayanti Beaten to Death for Resisting Molestation, Body Hung From Tree

Uttar Pradesh, October 3: In another shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh, three men allegedly beat up an 11-year-old girl to death and hung her body from the tree, after she resisted their molestation attempt in Mainpuri. According to a News 18 report, the girl was returning from school on a bicycle after attending a programme organised to mark Gandhi Jayanti, when the accused stopped her and took her to the nearby bushes. It was when the girl resisted their advances, she was ruthlessly beaten up and killed. Then the men went to the extent to recreate the crime scene, by hanging her body from the tree so that it looks like a suicide case. However, villagers had already seen it and they informed the police.
The UP government is currently under fire for the death of Vivek Tiwari, an Apple employee. Tiwari, who was driving the car, first hit the police patrol bike and then rammed a wall while allegedly trying to escape. Constable Prashant Kumar who fired at the car was reported to be arrested after police registered an FIR on Tiwari's colleague complaint. Kumar claimed that he fired at Tiwari in self-defence as the victim tried to run over him thrice by his car.
