Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya Assembly Elections 2018 Exit Poll Results: BJP-led Front Predicted to Win Two States
If the exit poll outcome are reflective of the actual results to be declared on March 3, the BJP will further establish its dominance in the Northeast -- the region where it barely had electoral presence before 2014.
New Delhi, Feb 28: The exit poll results of Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland assembly elections 2018 were released on Tuesday, hours after polling concluded. The survey predicts victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led front in two states - Tripura and Nagaland - apart from a foothold for the saffron party in Meghalaya.
If the exit poll outcome are reflective of the actual results to be declared on March 3, the BJP will further establish its dominance in the Northeast -- the region where it barely had electoral presence before 2014.
Tripura Assembly Election Exit Poll Results
Tripura, considered to be the final red-bastion, where the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has been ruling for the past 25 years, will be wrested by the BJP, the surveys claim.

The exit polls have predicted a narrow-lane victory for the BJP-Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) combine in Nagaland -- a state with 90 percent Christian population. The ruling Nagaland People's Front (NPF) is likely to be unseated from power.
