Over the last few days, there has been a spate of very heavy rainfall all over Maharashtra. This caused water logging in several places, resulting in extreme inconvenience to the citizens. From wall collapse to electrocution, several incidents were reported where many lost their lives in the heavy downpour. On Tuesday, the Maharashtra government declared a government holiday after IMD predicted that there will be heavy rains and a flood-like situation in the state. The prediction of heavy rains from July 3 and 5 still stands, and citizens have been asked to stay alert in the wake of the heavy rains.
