New Delhi, August 1: In connection with Sunanda Pushkar death case, a Delhi Court has allowed former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor to go abroad, for a few days starting August 10. According to a Times of India report, Tharoor has to deposit a 'Flight Data Recorder' of Rs 2 lakh before he leaves the country, which he will be refunded after his return.
Earlier last month, Delhi's Patiala House Court had granted anticipatory bail on a surety of Rs 1 lakh to Tharoor in connection with the case. On June 5, the court summoned him in connection with Sunanda Pushkar death case. The court took cognisance of the charge sheet, filed by the Delhi police against Tharoor and asked him to appear before it on July 7 saying that it has enough evidence to begin the trail.
As a condition for anticipatory bail, Tharoor was told that he couldn't leave the country, without informing the Court. Commenting on him getting an anticipatory bail, Subramanian Swamy had earlier said, "Yes, he can't go out of the country and see all his girlfriends in various parts of the world. There is nothing for Shashi Tharoor to celebrate. He is not in Tihar jail; he can sit with Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, they are also bail-wallas."
