Andhra Pradesh, July 15: A SpiceJet, Hyderabad to Renigunta flight was halted at the Renigunta International Airport due to a technical snag. According to an ANI update, the pilot identified the snag after take-off, following which the aircraft was landed safely. 40 passengers were on-board at the time of the incident. A Spice Jet flight in April- Boeing 737-800 aircraft was damaged after it encountered severe rain and turbulent weather. The flight which was bound from Bagdogra to Chennai landed safely at its destination.

Earlier this month, due to heavy rains, a SpiceJet flight from Jaipur skidded and overshot the main runway while landing at the Mumbai airport, although none of the passengers was hurt in the incident, but the main runway remained unfunctional for few days. To make the taxiway functional, a 60-member team of Mumbai Airport and 100 contract staff of AIC worked for over 90 hours.
