Earlier, the J&K Police had also released CCTV visuals of three men on motorcycle who are suspected to have shot at Bukhari. The three men as shown in the images released by the police have their faces covered and are on a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle. The police have sought help from public in identifying all the four suspects.

Meanwhile, some reports say that the killing may have been executed by Pakistan's ISI. Reports also say that one of the suspects resembles a Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist who escaped Jammu and Police in February this year.

Bukhari was shot dead by three men on a motorcycle around 7:30 pm last evening outside his office in Srinagar. He was leaving for an iftar party when the suspected terrorists shot him dead. His last rites were carried out in Baramullah today amid thousands bidding the veteran journalist a tearful farewell.
