Mumbai, June 27: Shirdi Saibaba Trust Chairman, Suresh Kashinath Haware has been given the Ministry of State (MoS) status in the Maharashtra Government as per ANI reports. The Devendra Fadnavis-led BJP government had accorded the MoS status to the Siddhivinayak Temple Trust President Aadesh Bandekar and the Maharashtra Attorney General (AG) Ashutosh Kumbhakoni before Haware.

The MoS rank comes with several perks. As per reports, they can receive up to Rs. 20 lakh as annual transport allowance and also entitled to travel in business class for official work. Furthermore, they are entitled to a bungalow designated for a minister of state, a separate car with a driver. However, they are not allowed to use a red beacon or a national flag on their vehicle.

Suresh Haware is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Belapur, Ahmednagar constituency, Maharashtra. He was a nuclear scientist until he became a politician. He is the managing director of Haware Engineers & Builders Pvt. Ltd.
