Selfie Addiction May Cost You Your Job! Jet Airways Grounds 4 Pilots For Taking Selfies on a Training Flight
According to a report on Independent, India has the highest number of selfie deaths in the world.
New Delhi, May 30: Are you a selfie addict? Be careful because it can cost you your job. Jet Airways has grounded four of its pilots, a senior instructor level commander and three trainee pilots for allegedly clicking selfies on a training flight, which was without passengers, from Leh to Delhi on April 19. According to an ANI report, internal investigation is being conducted by the airline.
Selfie addiction have proved to be very fatal, from accidents to death, they are a source of huge distraction. Last year a Brazilian pilot shared 'dangerous cockpit selfie flying over Dubai. Even though the photos were fake, but it received huge flak from the public as people were horrified with the idea of a pilot taking selfies while flying the aircraft. An Indian man recently died, while trying to take a selfie with a bear in Odisha. In the month of April, a woman in Rajasthan was caught on video dropping her 10-month-old baby daughter to death while she was busy taking a selfie. There are numerous such cases.
According to a report on Independent, India has the highest number of selfie deaths in the world. The study highlighted that between March 2014 and September 2016, 60 per cent of all “selfie deaths” occurred in India.
