Schools May Remain Closed Due to PM Narendra Modi’s Trip to Varanasi

Modi will dedicate, and lay the foundations of various developmental projects, and will also address public meetings.

Varanasi, July 13: Due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's trip to Varanasi, it is expected that around 25 schools are to be closed on July 14. According to a Times of India report, the reason being, the school premises will be used as accommodation for outstation police and paramilitary personnel engaged in looking after the security of Modi.

The PM is scheduled to make a two-day trip to Azamgarh, Varanasi and Mirzapur districts; therefore the schools may remain closed on Saturday. Modi will dedicate, and lay the foundations of various developmental projects, and will also address public meetings.

While, there is no confirmation on whether the schools will remain closed in Varanasi or not, but according to District inspector of schools Vijay Prakash Singh as quoted in the report has said that 25 schools will be taken over, and the closure of the schools depends on the number of security personnel staying there.
