In response to Karnal BJP MP Ashwini Kumar Chopra's sexist comment on Sapna Chaudhary by calling her ‘thumkewali’, the Haryanvi singer, dancer has said that she doesn't seek an apology from the leader, and is 'okay' with him calling her a thumkewali.
According to an ANI report, she said, "What you say shows your mindset. I am an entertainer.I am focused on my work. I am not joining any political party. I have no interest in the field. It would be meaningless to say anything on the remark . He is a politician and should think before speaking. He is a politician and should think before speaking. Still if he has said something then also it does not affect me. I'm okay with that."
Earlier, when the BJP leader was asked about if Sapna Choudhary might campaign for Congress, he said, "Congress mein thumke lagane wale jo hain woh hi thumke lagayenge, yeh unko dekhna hai ki thumke lagane hain ya chunaav jeetna hai."
Reportedly, Sapna Chaudhary was in Delhi to meet Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi on Friday. However, as the party leader was not there the meeting was rescheduled. She had expressed her willingness to work for the Congress but had ruled out joining the party.
