Saharanpur, July 22: At a time when lynching incident over child-lifting rumours is occurring more often, a Dhaba owner in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur showed the right path to people getting raged and taking the law into their hands. On spotting two suspected child-lifters, the Dhaba owner didn't gather a crowd and attempted mob justice but informed the police and got them arrested.

According to the Uttar Pradesh police, the man saw two suspicious youths with a child at his Dhaba on Delhi Road on Friday midnight. Instead of confronting the youths, the Dhaba owner immediately informed the police that arrived in no time. Cops questioned the suspected persons who later confessed of being involved in a kidnapping.

The suspects revealed that they had kidnapped the two-year-old child from Panipat for ransom. The police arrested the duo and managed to find the child's parents. A case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the duo. The parents of the kidnapped child have been informed.

This incident shows how people should react when they come across such criminals. The Dhaba owner could have gathered a crowd and killed the accused. However, he kept them under watch and informed the police. His presence of mind not only saved the child but also prevented another lynching from taking place. The Uttar Pradesh police should be applauded as well for its swift action in this case.
