RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Rakes Up Ram Temple Issue At 'Bharat Of Future'; 'Building Temple Will Unite Hindus And Muslims'
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Wednesday, speaking at a three-day conclave, ‘Bharat of Future’ in New Delhi said that Ram Mandir should be built "at the earliest" in Ayodhya.
New Delhi, September 19: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Wednesday, speaking at a three-day conclave, ‘Bharat of Future’ in New Delhi said that Ram Mandir should be built "at the earliest" in Ayodhya. He further added that it would remove a major cause of discord between Hindus and Muslims. The RSS chief said that if the temple would be built through consensus, then it would result in ending all the disputes between Hindus and Muslims.
Bhagwat further stated, “There should be no politics over this. If it is done harmoniously, the fingers that are raised again and again at the Muslims would not be raised.” He also said that the construction of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya should be delayed anymore.
The RSS chief also favoured that articles 370 and 35A should be removed from Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier in the day, Bhagwat also condemned lynching in the name of cows. He said that that violence in the name of cow is wrong. The RSS chief also stressed the need for empowering women. He also said that all the languages of the country should be developed.
Yesterday, speaking at the same event, said that Hindutva means Indianness and inclusivity and if we don't accept Muslims, it's not Hindutva. The RSS chief also said that the primary aim of the Sangh was to unite the country. On the first day of the conclave, Bhagwat also praised the Congress for playing a "major role" in India's independence movement.
