Uttar Pradesh, July 26: In a new low, a man took revenge for his sister's rape that took place two years ago, by himself committing the heinous crime on the accused's sister. According to a DNA report, the man abducted the 15-year-old minor sister of the jail accused and gangraped her right in front of her mother. When the latter tried to raise the alarm, she was threatened with a pistol. The incident took place in Kannauj when the minor girl and her mother were going to meet her brother who is lodged in the Anauga Jail.
Reportedly, a Bolero intercepted them and offered them to drop them to their destination. However, the vehicle was taken to a secluded place, and the minor girl was gangraped. When the girl fell unconscious, she was thrown out of the vehicle. The girl has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. A case has been registered under Sections 376D of the IPC, and POCSO Act against four persons have been slapped.
Recently two more rapes have been reported in Uttar Pradesh. Minor girls have been raped in Shamli and Meerut. Recently, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly abducted from Adarsh Mandi police station area and raped for 15 days. It seems there is no end to the unending sexual harassment which women are facing every day, in spite of the Centre modifying the POCSO Act.
