New Delhi, May 10: The Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested Vinay Bansal in connection with Public Works Department (PWD) scam in the national capital, as reported by ANI. Vinay Bansal is the son of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s late brother-in-law, Surender Bansal. He has been arrested in connection with Public Works Department scam.

According to reports, in June last year, three FIRs were filed against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and others in the alleged PWD scam. Surender Bansal, a proprietor of a construction firm and a public servant, was an accused of irregularities in the grant of contracts for roads and sewer lines in Delhi.
According to a report on Zee News, the ACB action came post filing of three cases against Bansal and senior PWD officers in connection with the corruption allegation against them. The investigating agency also probed six engineers of the PWD in connection with the case.
