Lucknow, September 26: A day after rejecting the offer of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's offer to discuss on Article 370, Kashmiri students' group met him in the state capital on Saturday. After interacting with them, CM stated that he sees himself as the local guardian, and it becomes his responsibility to listen to them. Speaking with the media after the interaction, Yogi Adityanath said, "I interacted with students from Jammu & Kashmir living in Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Aligarh as a confidence-building measure. As Chief Minister, I see myself as their local guardian here & it is my responsibility to listen to them."

Earlier while interacting with the Kashmiri students -- studying in Uttar Pradesh -- Yogi had said, "Today you are here as students, maybe tomorrow you'll be part of the administration in Uttar Pradesh. We live in a democratic society where communication is vital. Prosperity comes to our lives only when we develop."

It is to be known that the students of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) -- hailing from J&K -- on Friday have refused to take part in the event called by Adityanath. While students from three other districts reached Lucknow Friday to attend the event.
