Rohtak, May 9: A woman threw chappal at Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu at a public meeting. The incident took place on Wednesday in Haryana's Rohtak where Navjot Singh Sidhu was addressing a public meeting for Congress candidate Deepender Singh Hooda. As seen in the video, chappal missed Sidhu.

Sidhu was addressing a gathering in Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency when suddenly a woman stood up and hurled chappal at him. Following the incident, the police detained the woman. However, it was not clear what prompted the woman to do so. Sidhu, who emerged as the leader most in demand for Lok Sabha elections campaigning, was also greeted by a group of protesters who chanted slogans against him and in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
