Mumbai, October 14: The friction between the Indian National Congress leaders Sanjay Nirupam and Milind Deora was out once again on Monday after the former hit out at other on Social media. In a tweet, Nirupam used the word "Nikamma", which means useless, referring to the dart rival Deora. The former MP was clearing speculations about his absence at former Congress president Rahul Gandhi's rallies in Mumbai. Sanjay Nirupam Blasts Out at Congress Leadership, Tweets 'Seems Party Doesn’t Want My Services Anymore'.
"Speculations and suspicions about my absence in RG's Mumbai rallies are meaningless. Due to an important family function I was very busy whole day, rather till late night. Had informed him in advance. He is my leader and he will be always the same for me. But why was Nikamma absent ?" Nirupam said in a tweet without naming anyone.
Sanjay Nirupam Tweet:
Earlier, speaking to a news channel, Nirupam had called Deora a "nikamma" and blamed him of destroying the grand old party. Last week, he had said that he will not campaign from 2019 Maharashtra Assembly Elections after his recommended candidate was rejected.
"It seems the Congress Party doesn't want my services anymore. I had recommended just one name in Mumbai for Assembly election. Heard that even that has been rejected. As I had told the leadership earlier, in that case I will not participate in the poll campaign. It's my final decision," Nirupam had said on Twitter.
Before Lok Sabha Elections, Nirupam was replaced by Deora as the Mumbai Congress president. After the grand old party's jolting defeat, Deora stepped down from the position. The party failed to win even a single seat of the six in Mumbai.
