Randeep Singh Surjewala Says Why is BJP Unsettled by Rahul Gandhi's Kailash Mansarovar Yatra
The Congress spokesperson's remark comes a day after the BJP demanded an explanation from Rahul on his trip to Kailash Mansarovar.
New Delhi, Aug 31: Congress spokesperson and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Randeep Singh Surjewala on Friday questioned why the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was "unsettled" by party president Rahul Gandhi's trip to Kailash Mansarovar. "Why is BJP unsettled with Rahul Gandhi's trip to Kailash Mansarovar? Does Rahul Gandhi need to take consent from the BJP to go there as a devoted follower of Lord Shiva? The BJP is conspiring how to stop his trip to Kailash Mansarovar. It is condemnable. Do they not know that Kailash Mansarovar is an autonomous region in China?" Surjewala said while speaking to reporters. Ahmedabad Bank Files Defamation Suits Against Rahul Gandhi, Randeep Singh Surjewala.
The Congress spokesperson's remark comes a day after the BJP demanded an explanation from Rahul on his trip to Kailash Mansarovar. Accusing Rahul of being a "Chinese spokesperson," BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said, "You are Rahul Gandhi, not 'Chinese' Gandhi. What is it that you always speak in favour of the neighbouring country?"
"Mr. Rahul has an obsession for China. Why is it that Mr. Gandhi always wants to get a Chinese perspective on everything but he does not want to have an Indian perspective? I would like to ask the Congress party, which politicians will Rahul Gandhi meet in China?" Patra further said.
Censuring the Congress chief on his refusal to comment on the Doklam issue, Patra mocked, "He advertises China as if he is their advertising man. During Doklam standoff Rahul Gandhi did not take government in confidence and met the Chinese ambassador. Why is Mr. Rahul Gandhi holding the brief of China across the globe?" Rahul is scheduled to embark on a 12-day trip to Kailash Mansarovar on Friday via Nepal and is likely to cover a distance of 60 kilometers on foot.
