As per the findings of the pre-poll survey, the BJP would not receive a massive setback in Uttar Pradesh. The opinion poll says that the combine of Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati and Ajit Singh would only be able to garner about 27 seats while the Congress would get only three seats. The Times Now-VMR opinion poll also says that the vote share of both the Congress and the BJP may be going up in Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2019.

Meanwhile, overall, the opinion poll conducted by Times Now-VMR predicts that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) can win 279 seats -- seven more than the halfway majority mark, this Lok Sabha Elections 2019. The survey has also projected a significant improvement in the prospects of the Congress-led UPA. From 64 seats in 2014, the coalition is predicted to surge to 149 seats.

Voting for the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 is set to take place on April 11 in 91 constituencies of 20 states. Polling for Parliamentary Polls is set to take place in seven phases between April 11 and May 19. The counting of votes will take place on May 23. Eight seats of UP will go to polls on April 11. These are Saharanpur, Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar.
