The pre-poll survey has predicted that of the 48 seats in Maharashtra, the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance will be able to win 38, with a 48.15 per cent vote share. The Congress and NCP, on the other hand, will only be able to get 10 seats, says the Times Now-VMR opinion poll.

Meanwhile, overall, the opinion poll conducted by Times Now-VMR predicts that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) can win 279 seats -- seven more than the halfway majority mark, this Lok Sabha Elections 2019. The survey has also projected a significant improvement in the prospects of the Congress-led UPA. From 64 seats in 2014, the coalition is predicted to surge to 149 seats.
Voting for the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 is set to take place on April 11 in 91 constituencies of 20 states. Polling for Parliamentary Polls is set to take place in seven phases between April 11 and May 19. The counting of votes will take place on May 23. In Maharashtra, seven seats will go to polls in the first phase. These are Wardha, Ramtek, Nagpur, Bhandara - Gondiya, Gadchiroli-Chimur, Chandrapur and Yavatmal-Washim.
