Kolkata, May 23: The counting for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 is underway for 42 parliamentary seats in West Bengal and as per the initial trends, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress is leading with 25 seats. While on the other hand,  Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in 16 seats as per latest trends.

Among the main candidates for TMC who are leading in their respective seats include Prasun Banerjee from Howrah (23510), Protima Mondol from Joynagar (37595), Mala Roy from Kolkata Dakshin (123258), Sudip Bandhopadhay from Kolkata Uttar (18869), Nusrat Jahan from Basirhat (45022), Satabdi Roy from Birbhum (23752), Mimi Chakraborty from Jadavpur (42814) and others.  West Bengal Election Results 2019 Live News Updates

On the other side, BJP leaders leading from the front include Babul Supriyo from Asansol (51189 ), Locket Chatterjee from Hooghly (29805), Shantanu Thakur from Bangaon (26437), Subhas Sarkar from Bankura (21439), John Barla from Alipurduar (34719) and others.

In the meantime, Congress is leading in one seat while Left Front is trailing in all the seats as per the current trends.
