It is not the first time that the Governor’s request for the helicopter has been ignored by the TMC government. The state government also denied Dhankar’s request for the helicopter to attend a Ras Festival event on Tuesday citing administrative reasons.

Since Dhankar’s appointment as governor, there has been continuous hostility between him the state chief minister. Last month during a Durga Puja event, Dhankar was reportedly miffed with the state government as he was not seated at the main stage along with other guests at the event to showcase the top 70 puja pandals in the state capital. The event was organised by Banerjee on October 11.
