In the violence, Singh suffered injuries on head and underwent seven stitches.
Kolkata, September 1: In a fresh incident of violence in West Bengal, Bharatiya Janata Party Lok Sabha parliamentarian from Barrackpore Arjun Singh was injured, and his car was vandalised on Sunday, when he was protesting against alleged capture of party office by Trinamool Congress workers. According to reports, through various media agencies, Arjun Singh was participating in a protest rally in Shyamnagar area of his constituency against alleged capture of party office by Trinamool Congress workers. During the protest, some miscreants pelted bricks on him, and he got injured. Following this, few rounds of gunshots were head too, which the BJP leader alleged were fired by police. Commenting on recent attack, Singh said, as quoted by news agency ANI, "I was attacked, and my car has been vandalised. People were protesting peacefully. Police Commissioner Manoj Verma lathi-charged on my head and abused me verbally. My residence is also being attacked."

Reports are arriving that since morning, three party office of BJP in Shyamnagar area were allegedly captured by Trinamool Congress workers. Also, few believe that those offices belonged to TMC prior to BJP prior to Lok Sabha Elections 2019. But after the poll results, they were allegedly captured by BJP.
